Four years ago a terrible storm ripped through the Greater New Orleans area and the Mississippi Gulf Coast, destroying thousands of homes, killing thousands, and displacing an estimated 2 million people.  To this day many of those people still do not have homes and are still living their lives not knowing what the future will bring and wishing for a second chance to succeed. 

Hope Floats New Orleans is a nonprofit organization that was created in order to aid low and fixed income people become self-sufficient through ongoing relief programs that are supported by community donations, contributions, grants, & volunteers.  We seek to change situations, not lifestyles, to help others make a fresh start.
